Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, we ship to over 80 countries worldwide. All international orders are dispatched via DHL Express with full tracking and insurance. Our team carefully packages every pair to ensure they arrive in perfect condition, regardless of destination.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times depend on your location:
  • Italy: 1–2 business days
  • Europe: 2–3 business days
  • USA & Canada: 3–5 business days
  • International: 5–7 business days
All timings are estimates and do not include customs clearance, which may add additional days for international orders.
What is your shipping cost?
We offer complimentary shipping on all orders over €500. For orders below this threshold, the following rates apply:
  • Europe: €25 flat rate
  • USA & Canada: €35
  • International: €45
All shipments are fully insured and include signature upon delivery.
Do you offer express shipping?
Yes. We offer next-day delivery for all EU destinations on orders placed before 13:00 CET Monday through Friday. Express shipping is available at checkout for an additional fee of €20. For non-EU express requests, please contact our team directly.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your DHL tracking number and a direct link to the tracking portal. You can also track your order by logging into your Silent Ridge Spark account. If you have not received your tracking email within 24 hours of ordering, please check your spam folder or contact us.
What countries do you ship to?
We currently ship to 80+ countries, including all EU member states, the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE, and many more. At checkout, your country must be in our approved destination list to proceed. If your country is not listed, please contact us as we may be able to arrange a special shipment.
Will I pay customs or import duties?
For orders within the EU, no customs duties apply. For international orders, customs and import taxes may be levied by your country's authorities upon arrival. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our prices. We recommend checking your local customs regulations before ordering. DHL will contact you if any duties are required.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items must be:
  • Unworn and in their original condition
  • Returned in the original Silent Ridge Spark box and dust bag
  • Free from scratches, scuffs, or signs of wear
  • Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase
We reserve the right to decline returns that do not meet these conditions.
How do I initiate a return?
To begin a return, please contact our customer care team with your order number and reason for return. We will send you a prepaid DHL return label within 24 hours. Simply repackage the item securely, attach the label, and drop it at your nearest DHL service point. You will receive confirmation once we receive the return.
How long does refund processing take?
Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 2–3 business days of arrival at our warehouse), we will issue your refund to the original payment method. Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear on your bank statement. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is processed.
Can I exchange for a different size or style?
Yes, we are happy to facilitate exchanges for a different size or style, subject to availability. Please contact our customer care team within 30 days of delivery. For size exchanges, we will prioritize dispatch of your replacement pair. If the requested size or style is unavailable, we will offer a full refund or store credit.
Are sale items returnable?
Items purchased during a private sale or with a promotional discount of 30% or more are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, unless the item is defective. Standard collection items purchased at any time remain subject to our 30-day return policy. Any exceptions will be clearly noted at the time of sale.
What if my item arrives damaged or defective?
We take product quality extremely seriously. If your order arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, please contact us immediately with photographs of the issue. We will arrange a prompt replacement or full refund at no cost to you, including free return shipping. All Silent Ridge Spark footwear carries a 24-month craftsmanship guarantee.
What materials do you use in your footwear?
We source only the finest materials, including:
  • Premium French calfskin – soft, durable, with a refined grain
  • Italian suede – brushed nap, available in seasonal colourways
  • Patent leather – high-gloss finish for formal occasions
  • Velvet – for our evening and loafer collections
  • Canvas & technical fabrics – for our luxury sneaker range
All linings use vegetable-tanned leather, and soles are made from natural leather or Vibram rubber.
How should I care for my leather shoes?
To maintain the beauty of your leather footwear:
  • Use cedar shoe trees after each wear to retain shape and absorb moisture
  • Clean with a soft horsehair brush to remove surface dust
  • Apply a high-quality leather conditioner every 3–4 weeks
  • Polish with a colour-matched wax polish to restore lustre
  • Allow shoes to rest for at least 24 hours between wears
  • Keep away from direct heat sources and prolonged sunlight
Each pair comes with a care instruction card and a complimentary horsehair brush.
Do you offer resoling or repair services?
Yes. We believe great shoes should last a lifetime. We offer a Silent Ridge Spark Restoration Service, where our Vigevano craftsmen can resole, re-heel, re-welt, and recondition your shoes. Prices vary depending on the service required. Please contact us to arrange an assessment. We also have a network of recommended cobblers across major European cities.
Are all Silent Ridge Spark shoes made in Italy?
Absolutely. Every pair is handcrafted in our atelier in Vigevano, the historic shoemaking capital of Italy. Our master cobblers, many of whom have worked with the Valerio family for decades, oversee each stage of production — from pattern cutting and lasting to finishing and quality inspection. Each pair carries the Fatto a Mano in Italia stamp of authenticity.
What does "Goodyear Welt" construction mean?
Goodyear Welt is a traditional shoemaking technique where the upper, insole, and welt (a strip of leather) are stitched together, and the welt is then stitched to the outsole. This creates a structurally robust, waterproof shoe that can be resoled multiple times — dramatically extending the life of the shoe. It is considered the gold standard of formal footwear construction and is used across our Oxford and Derby ranges.
How do I clean suede shoes?
Suede requires gentle, specific care:
  • Use a suede brush after each wear to maintain the nap and remove light dirt
  • For stubborn marks, use a suede eraser with light, circular motions
  • Apply a waterproof suede protector spray before first wear and periodically thereafter
  • Avoid wearing suede in wet weather whenever possible
  • If suede gets wet, allow it to dry naturally away from heat, then brush to restore nap
Never use water directly on suede or apply standard leather polish.
What sizing system do you use?
All our footwear is sized in Italian/EU sizing. For your convenience, each product page includes a full conversion chart for UK and US sizes. Our range runs from EU 38 to EU 47 for men, and EU 35 to EU 42 for women. For full details and a foot measuring guide, please visit our Size Guide page.
How do I find my correct size?
We recommend measuring your foot length in centimetres and comparing it to our size chart. For the most accurate result:
  • Measure both feet in the evening, when feet are at their largest
  • Stand on a piece of paper and trace around your foot
  • Measure the longest distance from heel to toe
  • Use the larger measurement of both feet

Do your shoes run true to size?
Generally, yes. Our footwear is built on traditional Italian lasts and fits true to EU size. However, the fit can vary slightly by last and style. Formal models like Oxford and Derby shoes tend to have a slimmer fit. For wider feet, we recommend sizing up by half a size. Each product page notes whether the fit is regular, narrow, or wide. Our customer care team can also advise based on your specific measurements.
What if I am between sizes?
If you are between sizes, we recommend selecting the larger size and using thin insoles to customise the fit if necessary. For formal footwear such as Oxfords, going up ensures comfort over long wear. For loafers and casual styles, you may find your true size provides a snug but comfortable fit. Do you offer half sizes?
Selected styles in our collection are available in half sizes. These will be clearly indicated on the product page. For styles where half sizes are not available in ready-to-wear, our Bespoke Service allows you to order shoes made precisely to your measurements. Please enquire with our team for details and pricing on bespoke commissions.
What payment methods do you accept?

All transactions are processed securely through our encrypted payment gateway. We do not store your card details on our servers.
Is my payment information secure?
Absolutely. Our website uses SSL/TLS encryption (256-bit) for all transactions. Payments are processed via a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant gateway. We never store your full card number or CVV on our systems. You will notice the padlock icon in your browser address bar confirming the secure connection whenever you checkout.
Do you offer payment plans or instalment options?
Yes, for orders above €800 we offer a 3-month interest-free instalment plan in partnership with Klarna. This can be selected at checkout. For bespoke orders, we require a 50% deposit at the time of commissioning, with the remainder due upon completion. For further details, please contact our team.
Can I pay in a currency other than euros?
Our store prices are displayed in Euros (€), which is our base currency. However, your payment provider will automatically convert to your local currency at the prevailing exchange rate. We also offer approximate pricing in GBP, USD, JPY, and AUD via the currency selector in the site header. Please note that final charges will be in EUR and subject to your bank's exchange rate.
Do you offer bespoke or custom footwear?
Yes. Our Valerio Bespoke service offers fully custom footwear made to your exact measurements and specifications. You can choose every detail — the last shape, leather type, colour, sole construction, lining, and personalised details such as monogramming. Bespoke shoes are crafted entirely by hand in our Vigevano atelier by a dedicated master cobbler. Please request a consultation to begin the process.
How long does a custom bespoke order take?
A complete bespoke commission typically takes 8–12 weeks from the time of consultation and deposit. The process includes pattern making, last carving (for first-time clients), a trial fitting, and full handcrafted construction. For first-time bespoke clients, we may arrange a fitting via appointment at our Milan boutique or, for international clients, we can conduct measurements via our trusted network of partner ateliers. Rush orders may be available upon request.
What is the process for placing a custom order?
The Valerio Bespoke journey consists of five stages:
  • 1. Consultation – In-person or virtual meeting to discuss style, materials, and specifications
  • 2. Design & Measurement – Precise foot measurements and last selection
  • 3. Pattern & Mock-up – Initial pattern created and reviewed
  • 4. Crafting – Your shoes are handmade over 6–8 weeks
  • 5. Delivery – Final quality inspection and presentation delivery
You will receive progress updates at each stage.
What is the cost of the bespoke service?
Bespoke pricing begins at €2,400 for a classic Oxford or Derby in standard calfskin. Pricing varies depending on:
  • Material choice (exotic leathers carry a premium)
  • Construction method (Goodyear Welt, Bologna, etc.)
  • Complexity of design (medallion broguing, hand-painted patina, etc.)
  • Personalisation (monogramming, custom lining, etc.)
A full quote is provided following your initial consultation. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work.
